The Surrey town of Woking is located in the capital's commuter belt to the South West of London and has a population of around 62,000.
The town has several bustling shopping areas such as The Peacocks and Wolsey Place and a large open-air market, as well as a variety of fine bars and restaurants around the fully pedestrianised town centre.
Woking also offers popular cinema and theatre facilities, such as the New Victoria Theatre which offers a varied programme of events and productions throughout the year.
The town has a history dating back to the seventh century and is mentioned in the Domesday Book, but it was the railway that really made Woking the important commuter centre it is today.
With the M25, M3 and A3 within the borough, Woking has excellent transport links to both the capital and surrounding districts.
